We are a one-stop shop for solutions that best suit our clients comprising Shell, Petron, Chevron and all the other major players in the industry Abelardo Papa, president and general manager
An engineer by profession, Papa worked for Shell for 17 years and has a high regard for the talent of Filipino engineers. Driven by his genuine concern for the Philippines and his countrymen, the visionary industry expert wants Mechatrends to support the country’s future growth especially in the oil and gas, energy and food manufacturing segments.
Mechatrends specialises in engineering, design and construction of liquefied petroleum gas depots and terminals, making it the best in fabricating pressure vessels in the country. The company is a member of the National Fire Protection Association based in the United States and boasts of zero fatality in its 26 years of operations.
With a strong presence in the Philippines, Mechatrends shows interest in potential collaborations with like-minded companies in Southeast Asia. The company also welcomes players with leading technical expertise in the field as it looks forward to exploring opportunities in other Asian countries such as Myanmar, Laos and East Timor.
“We are willing to partner with Japanese, South Korean and Chinese businessmen who share our corporate philosophy,” Papa says. “We offer fairness and professionalism – qualities that are sometimes difficult to find in a company.”
